Shawn C. Snyder is the Managing Partner of Snyder & Snyder, P.A., where he limits his practice exclusively to estate planning, estate administration, and creditor protection matters. He is a member of The Florida Bar and the Broward County Bar Association, and he has built his practice around helping individuals, families, business owners, and high‑net‑worth clients design sophisticated plans to protect their assets, preserve wealth, and provide for future generations.
Shawn earned his Bachelor of Science, Master of Accounting, and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Florida, and his LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law.
Shawn is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Wills, Trusts and Estates and served as an adjunct professor in the University of Miami School of Law Graduate Program in Estate Planning for 14 years, where he taught Income Taxation to estate planning attorneys. He currently serves on the prestigious Florida Bar Wills, Trusts and Estates Committee, which is charged with writing and grading the examination used to certify attorneys as Board Certified Specialists in Wills, Trusts and Estates. Shawn was also recognized for chairing the international committee of attorneys that drafted the Nevis International Exempt Trust Ordinance for the country of Nevis.
Shawn is a former member of The Florida Bar Committee on Relations with the FICPA and CPAs, a founding member of the West Broward Estate Planning Council, a past Chairman of the Planned Giving Committee for the United Way of Broward County, a member of the Nova Southeastern University Professional Advisory Committee, and a member of Florida Blue Key. He is also a frequent lecturer on estate planning, digital assets, creditor protection, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in the legal profession.
Outside of his professional life, Shawn is a dedicated husband of 25 years to his wife, Shelby, and a proud father to their two daughters, Kenzie and Mikaela. When he is not working, Shawn is often with his family on the water, traveling, exploring new cultures, or cheering on his daughters as they compete on the national volleyball circuit.
